Wondering if anyone on here threw a KB or Whipple, or TT's on their 03-04 cobra, and still have their stock Eaton. How much would you sell it for?
It wouldnt fit on my car, would it?
thanks for the help
D
Don't know what kind of car you have, but I have a stock eaton with a stock pulley on it. If you want it $500.00 takes it. PM me....

LOL- Your gett'n old AJ. His sig has it - "Black '96 gt 5-speed....borla side exhaust, mac o/r h-pipe, chrome fr500 deepdish wheels, K&N air filter, sumitomo tires all around. "
I can't imagine trying to get it working on a 96 would be worth it. Doing the swap to an 01 Cobra, which is theoretically supposed to be easy, has proven to be a chore for most.

a 03-04 eaton can ONLY go on a 4 valve motor... unless there is something i don't know about...

You will spend twice as much (or more) trying an Eaton as opposed to just getting the KB setup. Add in the months of pain trying to make the Eaton setup work and it's a no brainer.
Those comments are for doing an Eaton on a 4v (which should be more straight forward). You should assume on a 2v it's going to be pure hell (if it's possible, which I'm not sure about).

alright, lol sorry for bothering you guys....didnt know that.
just figured someone would have a cheap blower, and if i could throw it on my car easily it would save me loads of money.
gonna try to look for the best price on a KB 1.7...if anyone finds prices anywhere, post 'em up please.
anyone that got their blower installed somewhere(i.e. MM) and didnt do it themselves please advise me as to how much you paid and/or how much i should pay for this kind of installation.
thanks,
D

the eaton will not fit on a 2v motor. They dont make a lower intake for it. i also don think you will see 151 hp gain on a non pi motor.

oh yeah....it even says on the KB website that the #s were with 2v4.6 96-98 gt w/ PI heads. I guess my car will just have to be abnoxiously loud and slow. whatever.

sorry dude, 96-98 cars were real bitches when it came to modifying lol.
Sell it and get a 5.0 or get a 99 up car.
OR drop in a 03 cobra motor/blower setup in your car and be a BAD ASS!

Preach!:laugter-
Seriously D, you really shouldn't try to make insane power. Our cars just don't have the potential that a lot of the others do, unless you got the time and the money to do it, in which case it still might not be worth it. It took me a long time to accept this, but just enjoy the damn thing. You can do little stuff, but don't go crazy. If you want to step up the mods, you're better off with something else.
Sorry for a silly question, but what makes the 96-98 GTs harder to modify than the 5.0s and the later 99+ GTs? I don't know the differences between the years.
Thanks

Justang....very well put. i have sort of realized that over the past year or so that i've owned the car, but i think i'm still in denial. i'm not disappointed in my car or anything, its still fast, i can still hit 140 on the highway, and i've beaten a ton of cars, but it's just not SICK.
maybe i'll just get a cobra engine cheap somewhere, or just downgrade(yes, i said it - Downgrade) to a 5.0.
