As you guys all know, someone is running a GB for the Whipple at a low low price. The KB would be almost $500 more, and I was thinking if it was worth it getting it. I was told that the Whipple made 603 @ 19psi on pump fuel.. while the KB is the same?
So what are the difference, advantages and disadvantages on both?
I'm considering a blower upgrade and want to go all out.
Next mod on the list is a set of long tubes along with a good nitrous shot.

actually the whipple can make 600+rwhp at 17-18 lbs of boost. i think that 603 was made with less than 19lbs
I would like to know the same. Someone please chime in.

That seemed to be a mild tune in that article as well. He had some mods that added up those numbers it seems but for the most part that was a 18lb pulley that showed 17lbs. Whipples are the next best thing to the Kenne Bell only cheaper and create less heat then the kb.

hmm.. Taken from MM&FF Page #82
" The Whipple 2300AX is a twin-screw-style supercharger ... opposed to the
Root-style Blower like the factory supplied Eaton. Twin-screw blowers have
the ability to create more boost (with less heat), which translates into more
horsepower. The Eaton M112 blower ... was ported by Apten and made 460
rwhp with 14psi of boost. The Whipple made 17psi of boost and the Cobra's
output increased to 603.6 rwhp. All testing was done with 93-octane gasoline. "
Another note about psi on page #90
" The boost was limited to 17 psi and the timing was set at 17 degrees. "
So it was 17psi at 603.6rwhp & 565.3ft-tq with 3 basic other mod. listed... :eusa_danc
I like the look/setup of the Whipple 2300AX over the KB :icon_supe

If you want to push the car to it's limits you can make 615rwhp @ 17lbs. I doubt that 603rwhp is the daily driven number.
