Owens' Latest Controversyhttp://cdn.news.aol.com/aolnews_photos/01/00/20051104203009990003
Owens makes news with his mouth, not his hands.
On the Eagles Franchise:
"They claim to be first class and the best organization. It's an embarrassment. It just shows a lack of class they have."
On Playing With Brett Favre:
"I feel like him being knowledgeable about the quarterback position, I feel like we'd probably be in a better situation."
His apology Friday:
"It has been brought to my attention that I have offended the organization and my teammates. Therefore, I would like to apologize for any derogatory comments toward them."

Now is the time for Mcnappy to step up and show this fool we can win without him. How great would that be to go all the way while he is sitting in Atlanta playing with himself. Badazz, I agree he is a great player but what a cancer what happened between last year and this year.

What Happened Last Year Was..he Figured To Play The Model Citizen And Not Cause A Ruckus.....this Year He Figures He Proved Himself Last Year So 1)he Demands More $$$ 2)he Bad Mouths Mcnappy And The Team Etc And Gets Sent Home For A Week During Training Camp 3)gets Upset When The Team Doesnt Acknowledge His 100th Career Td And Runs His Mouth More About The Team And Mcnappy
He Did This To Himself By Not Learning To Keep His Mouth Shut....

News and Notes
Nov 6 Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens had a fistfight with former defensive end and current team ambassador Hugh Douglas. The fight occurred in front of several of his teammates. According to one of the sources the Owens-Douglas fight "was like WWE Smackdown." Another source said both men threw at least two punches during the altercation and when it was over Owens challenged QB Donovan McNabb first and then everyone else in the room saying, "You want some. Anyone else want some." The Eagles refused to comment about the situation, other than the statement that revealed Owens' suspension. Owens and Douglas have been at odds since training camp and almost got into an altercation in an elevator at Lehigh University.

TO might bitch and moan to the cameras but who cares? Bottom line is the man delivers on the field. If everyone around him didn't make such a huge deal out of his comments the drama factor would be a 10th of what it is.
You can blame the Eagles rotten to the core front office and the media. Eagles fans can go back to being a crappier version of the Bills from the Jim Kelly era. Hell at least the Bills would get bounced in the superbowl every year instead of the conference championship.
I'm a big TO fan. I don't deny it. He is one of the most fun players to watch in the league and I hope one day he lands on a team that just ignores his comments and just concentrates on his on field persona, which is all that really matters.
What about TO's 100th TD? Nice of the Eagles to not even recognize it.
TO to the Jets? Personally I would love it. But he'd be miserable here with nobody to throw him the ball.

they did recognize it....they flashed it up on the big screen..the birds dont do anything special for anybody when they accomplish something during a game..why should owens be any different?the only team i see stupid enough to take him would be the raiders(they got moss)

the raiders probably can't afford TO. not to mention moss & to on the same team might make the entire nfl implode. what on earth would poor old kerry collins do.
i'd like to see him go to the bears that would be interesting. green bay is also out of a #1 WR, but TO in green bay? it could be interesting too but that seems like a stretch.
the cowboys could try to work a trade with keyshawn + a young defender or two, but there's no chance in hell parcells would give up KJ for TO, not to mention the defensive players they would have to add in to sweeten the pot.
in the end TO will be benched for the rest of the season in all likelyhood, especially after the fight. it'll be like the tampa bay deal before keyshawn went to dallas, but the eagles being as cheap as they are, will try to not pay him is my guess.
i just hope he lands SOMEWHERE, i really don't give a damn where. he needs to be on the field every sunday doing what he does best, entertain the fans.
the ny dragons would take him but they'd have to pay him with hotdogs and popcorn from the ncc concession stands :)

I agree. He didn't put the whole thing about Favre out there, it was Michael Irving on ESPN.
What idiot can say McNappy is better than Favre? I agree: The Eagles would be undefeated with Favre at the helm. I think TO'd be much more quiet too.
The guy is one of the best receivers in the game. I like the way he entertains and I'm not sorry the guy's got a big mouth. Football, and professional sports in general, are forms of entertainment.
I don't know why people take this shit so damn personally.
I'd take TO on my team if it were my choice to make.

I know this will be tough due to you being a fan of TO, but the truth of the matter is this....
football is a game of FOCUS!!!!! The whole team...players and coaches need to be focused all spring training and especially during practices during the week. football now a days generally goes to the team that is better prepared (hence why the pats have won 3 out of 4 superbowls). With TO causing all the B.S. he does every week it throws off the focus of the entire team...the coach has to deal with the media bs...the players he calls out have to deal with it....rather than focusing on the game plan and practicing for the next week.
I think TO has finally made it so NO TEAM will pay him what he wants....he's NOT WORTH THE PROBLEMS that come with him anymore. He will play for someone next year, but not for the 15 mill etc he's asking......

I agree with ya, he did kill his market value with all the BS. And I agree he is a huge distraction. I think the problem is that he went to the Eagles in the first place. He saw a team go to the conference championship 3 times and figured 'well if i'm there we'll win it all'. What he didn't realize was that a WR isn't what the Eagles need to get over the hump. So he does his usual lashing out when things don't go his way.
I'm not saying TO is a saint by any means as far as his on camera comments go. But you could tell him to only show up on sundays and he'd still be better than 99% of the WR's out there if he practiced @ home. Remember that pre-season touchdown on his first pass from DM? That was with them not even speaking!
I just find it funny that most Philly fans hate TO, when they are the ones who boo Santa Claus :)

Maybe with the Favre of ten years ago. He's done.
As a 49er fan who saw this coming from day one, I confess to loving this TO saga.
Gotta find some enjoyment this season. :(

Are you kidding? Favre is still one of the best QB's in the league, high mileage or not. He's been playing with 5th string running backs.. it's stupid.
I hope Favre doesn't retire. I'd hate to see him go out on a losing team.
